One of the aims of the training centre is to have all the dogs understand what the word stop means, this can not only be useful when teaching the dog to walk on a loose lead but it can be very useful if not a life saver when the dog is off the lead. We teach this through play and it is a fun but effective way of teaching the dog a very useful word.

Changing words or commands that the owner has previously used unsuccessfully is a very important part of the induction course, if an owner has used a word such as come and the dog has learnt to ignore this then we have to retrain using another word or signal.
