| Over 18 years experience in
operating a professional dog training centre has enabled us
to pinpoint what we need to run well managed and effective
courses for dog owners.
Space
The first requirement is space! At Charlies
we have 3 outdoor floodlit training paddocks for the dogs
to work and then play in. When the weather is poor we have
two heated indoor training areas, total area approaching 5,000
square feet! The training surface in both halls is rubber
matting giving excellent grip for indoor training and agility.
Toilets and a kitchen area are available,
there is a real coffee vending machine in the larger training
hall with indoor and out door seating for viewing of the training
activities.
Shop and information
A small but well stocked training and behaviour
“bar” is located in the large hall with a range
of training toys, leads, collars, books, videos and training
leaflets.
Equipment
We have a full set of agility equipment with
additional training equipment to help novice dogs learn the
obstacles safely. In addition to this we have a range of equipment
for the large and giant breeds thus enabling every one to
enjoy agility no matter what size of dog you own. There are
two sets of flyball equipment and this fast and enjoyable
dog sport is included in the training courses from graduate
onwards.
Please note we are able to offer flyball
and agility class’s 12 months of the year.
Hydrotherapy Centre
We also have a hydrotherapy centre for dogs,
this facility has a warm filtered pool for exercising dogs
safely and effectively. The centre also has a hydro spa (Jacuzzi)
this we have found to be very effective when helping dogs
with arthritic conditions and recovering from surgery. The
pool is recommended by many veterinary practices in East Anglia
and has referrals from both the Animal health Trust in Newmarket
and the Cambridge Veterinary University Hospital.
In general . . .
Being located on a 10 acre farm we have plenty
of space to exercise dogs away from roads, on site there is
a large pet store stocking a massive range of pet related
products. There is also a tack shop for horse owners on site
making Crow hall farm a real place for animal lovers.
With excellent road links to the A14 our training
centre has over 300 dogs visiting weekly, many of these clients
travelling from all over East Anglia to enjoy the range of
activities at the centre.
